The Fairfax Hotel at Embassy Row was a historic luxury hotel located on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, D.C. It was designed by architect B. Stanley Simmons and was built in 1927. It operated as a combination transient and residential hotel and was home to numerous government figures, including former President George H. W. Bush and his parents and former Vice-President Al Gore and his family. The upscale facility closed permanently in 2021 and will now be transformed into a high-end senior housing facility.
