Palo Alto Public Safety Building

Palo Alto will soon benefit from a new, three-story Public Safety Building (PSB), set to replace the existing center, which opened in 1970 and no longer meets seismic, accessibility and regulatory code requirements. At an estimated 48 000 square feet, the center will host a range of operations, from 911 Emergency Dispatch to Fire and Police Departments.

The design includes an employee courtyard, with trees and seating, public art, and 5000 square feet of public plaza that provide seating and civic amenities, featuring raised planters and native plants. This project includes construction of a nearby 6-story parking garage that will provide public parking for PSB users, over 600 spots, and a rooftop photovoltaic system.
