The new Greenfield Trial Court – a blend of history and modernity
Beaubois was thrilled to contribute to the revitalization of the Greenfield Trial Court in Massachusetts. The new building houses all five court department operations, six courtrooms, the Law Library and the Registry of Deeds. Improvements were made to the structure and security of the building, while maintaining the aesthetic of its distinctive historical façade.
The Beaubois team used natural-finish white oak to produce furnishings for the six courtrooms, including a semi-circular judge’s bench. The team also produced custom-made information counters, doors, frames and security desks, as well as shelving and vanities for the judges’ offices.
The new Greenfield Trial Court qualifies for LEED® Silver certification. Located in a small town with many beautiful tourist attractions, the new structure was carefully designed to conserve the original charm of the old building and its natural surroundings.
