The Salamander Resort & Spa – a premium destination
Surrounded by vineyards, and just 30 minutes from Washington, this countryside resort is one of the first American resorts to achieve LEED® certification. The resort also has a five-star rating from Forbes and a five-diamond rating from the American Automobile Association.
Designed to blend into its natural environment and respect existing architectural traditions, the resort features 168 guestrooms and suites, a 23,000-sq.-ft. spa, a convention and event center with a grand ballroom, an equestrian center with a renovated 100-year-old stallion barn and practice ring, a restaurant, a cooking studio, a wine bar and a culinary garden.
Beaubois produced and installed furnishings and architectural elements using white oak hardwood to create a rustic finish that would blend nicely with the resort’s aesthetics. The team crafted moldings, minibars and fireplace mantels for the guest rooms and suites, as well as 16”x16” ceiling beams, enormous columns and half-walls with integrated bench seating for the magnificent octagonal restaurant.
In the resort’s spa area, Beaubois provided moldings, cupboards, furniture, a reception desk, glass showcase cabinets and rustic-looking beams for the ceilings. The team also crafted and installed architectural woodwork and furniture in the ballroom/meeting room, prefunction rooms, wine bar, library, billiards room and cooking studio.
Beaubois was thrilled to be a part of this extravagant project. The Salamander Resort & Spa is a premium destination that will be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.
