The Westin at the Woodlands Hotel – an elegant location
Beaubois was honored to be a part of the construction project for a new hotel owned by The Howard Hughes Corporation. The Westin at the Woodlands Hotel features 302 guestrooms and suites, and offers many services and facilities including a 150-seat restaurant, a bar, a Starbucks coffee shop, a pool and fitness center with a terrace.
One entire floor of the hotel is devoted to meeting rooms and banquet halls arranged around a large atrium, and features a terrace overlooking Woodlands Lake on one side, and a superb 6,000-sq.-ft. ballroom on the other.
The Beaubois team produced and installed custom furnishings including the reception desk and counters, wall paneling, ceilings, moldings, a magnificent bar in the restaurant and recessed sliding doors, vanities and handrails throughout the hotel. As a focal point in the restaurant, Beaubois created a tree made of numerous wooden planks.
White oak, walnut and maple veneers were carefully selected for this project so as to create visual harmony in terms of color, wood grain and pattern. Beaubois’ expertise was not limited to working exclusively with wood. The architectural glass and bronzed finishes the team incorporated into its products added to the elegance of this hotel.
