VAUDREUIL-SOULANGES HOSPITAL
An innovative and human-centric project to enhance the healthcare services offered by the CISSS Montérégie-Ouest, the 11-floor Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital covers an area of nearly 132,000 square meters. The two wings, connected by several walkways, house 404 beds and 11 operating rooms. The exterior envelope consists of a huge section of curtain wall that enhances the building's aesthetics and energy efficiency.
DESIGN MEETS EFFICIENCY IN HEALTHCARE
Beaubois was involved from the outset of this project, assisting the consortium of architectural firms in designing the built-in furniture to be manufactured. Beaubois contributed to the design and production of cabinets (in kitchenettes, consultation rooms, reception facilities, security station), decorative wall panels, and several stainless steel counters, all in compliance with AWMAC standards.
The main challenge for a project of this scale and a construction site with 1,800 workers has to do with planning the sequence of work and deliveries to meet deadlines.
