A second courthouse in Virginia
After successfully participating in the fit-up of the Fairfax County courthouse, Beaubois carried out all of the architectural woodwork and custom-made furniture of the new Richmond Courthouse.
The company enhanced the nine courtrooms of this establishment by fabricating and installing all of their furniture and wall/acoustic panels as well as decorating the walls behind the judges’ benches with leather-covered panels. The leather, twinned with the main wood, walnut, create a unique look.
For the Richmond Federal Courthouse in Richmond, Beaubois delivered comprehensive architectural millwork and custom furnishings throughout the building. The scope included the design, fabrication, and installation of nine courtrooms, featuring bespoke wood paneling, integrated acoustic treatments, and finely crafted judicial benches. Rich walnut millwork is complemented by leather-upholstered panels behind the judges’ benches, creating a refined and dignified atmosphere that reflects the building’s civic importance. The result is a timeless interior that balances tradition, craftsmanship, and contemporary performance.
The architecture of the Courthouse harmonizes with the historic business neighborhood where it is located. Its 6-story atrium lights up the night, casting the spotlight on the new arts sector as well as the achievements of Beaubois.
